Senior Support Technician

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Senior Support Technician, you will be a central part of the IT teams that support software functions, data transfers and network connectivity for computer systems. You will support in overseeing the network as a whole, making routine improvements and updates to ensure the system can handle all networking tasks, and meet security requirements.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Level 1-2 technical support assisting multiple affiliate or subsidiary companies.
  • Deploy/troubleshoot peripherals, printers, VoIP phones, computers and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot and setup conference room software/hardware.
  • Assist with set up and troubleshooting of AV for meetings.
  • Executive level IT Support – handling support needs of all C suite executives.
  • Assist with production IT Support as needed.
  • Provide individual instruction and/or training to users on new or updated technology.
  • In collaboration with the IT team and third-party vendor, creates instruction manuals, cheat sheets, general reports and other related materials.
  • Performs routine technical assistance and maintenance duties.
  • Responsible for triage, tracking and escalation of all IT requests.
  • Help to troubleshoot any networking issues in collaboration with third-party IT vendor.
  • Troubleshoot applications in PC / Mac / Linux environments: Office 365 suite, Azure, Open Drives, Slack, Dropbox, Google workspace, etc.
  • Set up and maintain asset system to assist VP of Ops with tracking inventory levels of equipment and IT materials; performs data entry and maintenance of records/system.
  • Assist with the implementation, improvements and deployment of IT projects and research.
  • Actively collaborate among members of the IT and Operations teams and cross-functionally with other departments.
  • Attend and actively participate in any staff, IT, Operations or Creative (where necessary) meetings.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in an IT support environment, preferably in a Video Games, VFX, or Animation studio.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of computer systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
  • Knowledge of Cisco, Meraki, switches.
  • Ability to perform routine preventive maintenance on systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
  • Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of focus.
  • Ability to set up/configure shared storage, VPN, Firewall, etc.
  • Records maintenance skills.
  • Ability to provide direction to staff to resolve technological issues.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Ability to determine computer problems and to coordinate hardware, software, and/or network solutions.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve basic computer problems.
  • Ability to communicate technical guidance and instruction to users on the use of PC/LINUX/MAC and their related applications and systems.
  • Automation and Perforce experience, a plus.

The typical base salary for this position ranges from $44.23-$48.07 per hour. Actual offers will be determined based on experience.
